BE-Well Network
The 3DI’s BE-Well Network aims to advance health services research by connecting investigators, staff, operational partners, and other key stakeholders through a seminar series. We meet approximately monthly to discuss operational partner research priorities, research innovations, nuts and bolts of VA research, and other aspects of conducting impactful research to improve the mental and physical health of Veterans. A key priority of the network is to foster the success of early career investigators within VA.
The network provides expertise, collaborative opportunities, networking, and professional development within 3DI and externally with key stakeholders and operational partners.
Seminar topics align with the following areas of focus:
- Meet the Partners: Engage with operational and non-VA partners to foster collaborative research, respond to the current operational research needs, and share insights on behavioral health topics.
- Health Services Research Grand Rounds: Hear from nationally-recognized investigators - from within and outside of 3DI - on advances in health services research relevant to health behaviors and Veteran health.
- Career Development / Nuts and Bolts Sessions: Provide guidance for investigators and research staff to engage with operational partners, build a VA research portfolio, communicate findings, and utilize the breadth of resources available within the San Francisco VA Health Care System, the VA nationally, and with other affiliated organizations or collaborators. Topics to promote the success of early career investigators are prioritized.
The BE-Well Network is committed to advancing research on health behaviors through innovative collaborations, comprehensive educational offerings, and dedicated support for early career investigators.
